General Rental Policy: D.I.Y.
Regular rentals are Do-It-Yourself. This means:
Setup & Cleanup: You are responsible for setup, take-down, and a full cleanup within your booked time.
- 8′ rectangular tables and chairs are included

Alcohol Requirements*
If liquor will be present on the property, you must provide the following 2 weeks before your event:
$2M Liquor Liability Insurance (Approx. $150, available online).

Hall Rental Information
💳 Booking & Payments
Rental Contract: A signed contract is mandatory for all bookings.
Security Deposit: A $500 deposit (covering damage, holding, and cleaning) is required to secure your date.
Payment Methods: Cash, check, or e-transfer.
Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable if the event is cancelled within 6 months of the date.
Rental Fees: The full rental amount is due on or before your possession date (it cannot be deducted from your deposit).
🏠 Venue Rules & Restrictions
Orientation: You must attend an in-person orientation within the 7 days prior to your event to test your alarm code and review cleaning expectations.
Tablecloths: These are mandatory on all tables.
Prohibited Items: No glitter, confetti, sparklers, taper candles, or indoor sports (skates, hockey, pickleball, etc.).
RV Parking: Boondocking is allowed in the South Lot only. Absolutely no generators are permitted.
Noise & Bylaws: Any by-law complaints during your rental will be charged to the renter.
📋 Renter Responsibilities
Supplies: You must bring your own dishcloths and tea towels. (The hall provides cleaning supplies, trash bags, and toilet paper).
- Kitchen and bar are available for use. This includes appliances only. Renters are required to bring their own prep, cook and service equipment.
Respect: You are legally and financially responsible for the behavior of your guests and your vendors.
🧹 Cleaning & Video Verification
With no on-site janitor, regular rentals must ensure the hall is left in a “clean and rentable” condition.
The Full Cleanup: Includes sweeping/mopping all floors, vacuuming all rugs, wiping tables with bleach, cleaning the kitchen, bar and bathrooms (incl restocking), removing your garbage/pop cans and replacing bags.
Mandatory: You must send a video walkthrough of the kitchen, bathrooms, and hall to the booking agent before you leave the premises.
- Each of the 3 thermostats must be adjusted as directed.
- Coolers must be cleaned & turned off. Beer tubs must be emptied and cleaned
NEW! Post-event walk-away services are available. Quote available on request, some restrictions apply.
Trash & Recycling: We provide garbage bags and a dumpster; you take your own cardboard and recycling with you.
About the Heffley Creek Community Recreation Association
aka the HCCRA
The Heffley Creek Community Hall is a welcoming gathering place for anyone, owned and operated by the Heffley Creek Community Recreation Association (HCCRA) and supported entirely by volunteers from our community.
- The HCCRA is a registered BC non-profit society and a registered Canadian charity.
- Rental fees help cover operating costs and allow us to maintain and improve the hall so it can continue to host community events, celebrations, and activities for years to come.
Donations are always appreciated and may be eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Your support helps keep the hall vibrant and available for everyone in Heffley Creek and beyond!!
