We’re pleased to now offer central air conditioning throughout the venue to keep your guests comfortable.
🛠️ Hourly & Short-Term Rentals (D.I.Y. Policy)
Standard hourly bookings are DIY. To ensure the hall is ready for the next event, renters handle all setup, teardown, and cleaning. The space must be left fully cleaned to our facility requirements and satisfaction before your rental time ends.
8-foot rectangular tables and chairs are included with all rentals.
A 6-hour minimum booking is required for hourly rates.

🍷 Alcohol Requirements
If any alcohol will be on the premises at any time during the rental, the Renter must purchase and submit official proof of both of the following no later than two (2) weeks prior to the event date:
1. $2M Party Alcohol Liability Insurance naming “All HCCRA members and directors” as Additional Insured (approx. $150).
2. BC Special Event Permit (SEP).

Hall Rental Information
Venue Booking & Payments
Rental Contract: A signed contract is mandatory for all bookings.
Security Deposit: A $500 deposit (covering damage, holding, and cleaning) is required to secure your date.
Payment Methods: Cash, check, or e-transfer.
Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable if the event is cancelled within 6 months of the date.
Rental Fees: The full rental amount is due on or before your possession date and cannot be deducted from your deposit.
Venue Rules & Restrictions
Mandatory Orientation: You must attend a brief, in-person orientation within 7 days prior to your event. This is required to test your unique alarm code and review our cleaning expectations.
Table Protection: Tablecloths are strictly mandatory on all tables used during your event.
Prohibited Items & Activities: To protect our historic venue, the following are absolutely not allowed:Glitter, confetti, sparklers, or taper candles.
Indoor sports or recreational gear (including skates, hockey, pickleball, etc.).
RV Parking (South Lot Only): Overnight boondocking is permitted exclusively in the south lot for private rentals. Please note that generators are strictly prohibited to keep the area quiet.
Noise & Local Bylaws: Renters are required to follow all city bylaws. Any bylaw complaints or fines issued during your rental period will be charged directly to the renter.
Renter Responsibilities & Guidelines
To ensure your event runs smoothly, please review what’s provided and what you’ll need to bring along:
What We Provide: The hall supplies all necessary cleaning products, trash bags, and toilet paper.
What to Bring: You must bring your own dishcloths and tea towels.
Kitchen & Bar Use: Our kitchen and bar spaces are fully open for your use, including all major appliances. However, please note that renters must bring their own food preparation, cooking, and service equipment.
Respect & Liability: As the contract holder, you’re legally and financially responsible for the behavior and actions of your guests, attendees, and hired vendors throughout the rental period.
Do-It-Yourself Cleaning & Video Verification
The budget rental rate is a DIY and “Clean-It-Yourself” rate. By signing the rental agreement contract, you agree to leave the hall clean and ready for the next group AND agree that money will be deducted from the deposit if these items are not properly completed, OR you may elect to purchase our optional Walk-Away Services. The cleaning requirements include: sweep and mop all floors; vacuum all rugs; wipe down all tables with bleach solution; deep clean the kitchen, bar, and bathrooms (including restocking toilet paper and paper towels); remove all trash and pop cans from the bins and replace them with fresh bags. We provide garbage bags and a dumpster on-site for your trash. However, you must take all cardboard and recycling with you when you leave.
Mandatory Video Walkthrough: Before you leave the premises, you are required to send a video walkthrough of the kitchen, bathrooms, and hall to the booking agent to verify the cleanup.
Lock-Up Checklist:
Adjust all three thermostats as directed.
Clean out, empty, and turn off all coolers.
Empty and wipe down all beer tubs.

About the Heffley Creek Community Recreation Association (HCCRA)
The Heffley Creek Community Hall is a welcoming gathering place for everyone. We’re proudly owned and operated by the Heffley Creek Community Recreation Association (HCCRA) and supported entirely by dedicated volunteers from our community.
The HCCRA is a registered BC non-profit society and a Canadian registered charity. Every dollar from our rental fees goes directly back into the venue—covering daily operating costs and funding essential upgrades so the hall can continue hosting vibrant community events, celebrations, and activities for years to come.
